We were looking at beanbags for our 13 yo, but we went with a papasan chair instead. I don't think there is a such thing as a comfortable beanbag.

Agree with above. But check pottery barn kids/teen and company store kids. The one I got was from Walmart and lasted over ten years before I grew out of wanting one.

Pier 1 has a huge sale on papasan chairs this weekend.

Any beanbags not from China? I'd never know what China puts in it.

Believe it or not, we got a white fuzzy one from walmart.com, and it is awesome. It is not organic i'm sure, but it's held up for 2 years now and my kids spent all of thankgiving dragging it around the house to different rooms. my daughter loves it and my son said wants one.

Strongly recommend against beanbag chair. My daughter never found it as comfortable as it was in the store, it had to be constantly re-shaken, thus she stopped using it and it looks horrible.

I second the Fatboy recommendation. We've had one for a few years and it is amazing. The kids jump onto it from a ladder and it is still in great shape and super comfortable to sit on.
