Hello fellow PG Parents:
Please share this with other parents that you may know who is interested in sending their DC to a charter school next school year in Prince George's County. Below is a link to the charter school lottery application and a snap shot of some of the information on the website. I hope all that apply get their DC into the school of their choice. https://forms.pgcps.org/charters/ Student Lottery Application Application Submission Deadline: January 31, 2014 at 5pm (SUBMIT ONLY ONE FORM PER STUDENT) The Department of Pupil Accounting & School Boundaries 14201 School Lane, Rm 211 Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 (301)952- 6300 You must obtain a valid student identification number or your application will be voided For students CURRENTLY attending Prince George’s County Public Schools: Locate the student number on your child’s report card, or go to your child’s current school and obtain the student identification number from the Registrar. For students NEW to the school system: Parents and/or legal guardians may obtain a Student ID Number by going to their attendance boundary school with the following documents: proof of residence and original birth certificate. Inform the Registrar that you need a Student ID Number to complete the lottery application. For former students who are no longer attending: Parent or Legal Guardian should make sure their address and contact information is up to date by going to their boundary school and providing new proof of residency. Lottery school assignments are final and based on residence and space availability. If your child is already in a charter school, you need not reapply, unless you want to change to a different charter school. All choices carry equal weight - once a placement is selected, the other choices become void and are removed from all waitlists.
