Inattentive spouse

For those of you that have an inattentive spouse, how do you handle it? Thank you for any help.

It's great. He lets me do whatever I want. Girls weekend to Mexico? Sure! Our family is going gluten free? Okay. Our 11 yr old wants 15 girls to come by for a sleepover? Fine. I hate his shirts and want to replace them? As long as they are in the same place, he wont say a word.

I remind myself that the alternative (raising my child all alone) is worse than doing everything myself but at least having a babysitter handy I want to run to the store at night or want to go running in the mornings.

Is he also spiteful or just checked out?

I ask myself if I am high-maintenance and/or hypercritical, and whether, honestly, I am a task-master who likes to tell others (including my husband) not only what to do but how to do it.

Haha! I could have written this, but my husband has always been the reserved, quiet type. I'm the outgoing tenacious one & his inattention to details doesn't bother me one bit. Good luck op.
