I appreciate the effort, but get out of my kitchen!!

ILs are one of the many reasons most marriages fail. For that reason alone, DH and I chose three years ago to start going on vacation for holidays with the kids.

If ILs bug you, walk away. For the sake of your marital happiness, walk away.

I'll bet if you brought it up with your S/O, he'd be as relieved as my DH was.

I'm the opposite. I go to in laws and don't get to help. It doesn't even feel like a holiday to me and I think back to all the good memories I had previously about cooking in the kitchen with my mom and want to cry. I wish I was allowed in the kitchen

You can come here and cook me whatever you'd like. I can't cook for shit and have roaches and no counters space so barely ever go in my kitchen.
