I'm looking for a short trip during Christmas with just me, my toddler and an infant

In a place that's walkable. Id rather not deal with the headache of car seats but maybe willing to forgo this. This is a trip for me and my kids to get away from the holidays and do something different since we have had some very stressful times this year. I want it to be relatively easy. I want to fly somewhere (direct) get a taxi to a spacious hotel or suite, walk right outside to cute cafés and shops, wander back to the hotel where we'd all take naps and then back out for dinner later.... Does this place exist?
Thanks,
Mom and kids needing a break!

No. Where's hubby?

Miami or Tampa?

NYC? Not sure you can escape Christmas there, or if you're looking for somewhere warm, but you could even just take the train instead of the hassle of flying with little ones. Good luck, hope you find what you are looking for, and some peace to go with it.

Maybe I'm just not creative enough, or maybe my kids were just too much of a handful, but I am having a hard time imagining how any trip with a toddler and infant (and just one adult) could be easy or relaxing. Curious to see what others come up with. Whatever you do, good luck OP!

+1 stay home and spend the money on a sitter and spa services. Ignore the holidays.

Going out to dinner with a baby and toddler? Alone? Why would you choose that and consider that an antidote to stress at home?

And flying? Lady, you are in some kind of fantasy world. I cannot imagine choosing to go through airport security with a baby and toddler alone just so I could go somewhere and be alone with them.

Stay home.

Truth be told.
Lady, who takes care of your kids?

Yeah, walking to cute cafes and shops? With a toddler and an infant?

Lordy, some nasty replies here. I wonder OP if you might be better off driving somewhere close and as a PP suggested spending the money on some trusted sitters who will come to your room while you shop, dine, etc.

Maybe landsdowne or national harbor would fit this bill.

Agree with PP who suggested babysitter instead. Cute shops with a toddler and an infant? Really? I had a toddler and infant once upon a time. They didn't do so well in shops and cafes.

OP here. Wow. Well I take care of both my baby and toddler. The baby is easy going and nurses efficiently and in the go. The toddler is very laid back and travels well. We have all been going through a terribly rough patch and this year, the holidays hurt my heart. I like being with my kids and I thought a change of scenery would be best for everyone. I don't really plan on going to nice restaurants. It will probably just be grabbing a sandwich or having room service. Is it really that crazy??
