Does anyone know where to find a great beef wellington restaurant in the DMV? I have been craving beef wellington!
I made it last year. A lot of work but delicious.
Yes! This is a dish I would love to add to my "fancy and time-consuming" repertoire. But I haven't gotten around to finding an amazing version yet. I had some amazing (of all places in a buffet carribbean) restaurant and that inspired me. Good luck OP.
OP here... *Sigh* Someone will come through with an answer, I have faith! |
Le Madeline
Had it at La Chaumiere a few years ago. Was delicious.
OP here, called both neither have it on the menu anymore
|
Not local, but you can order it from Williams Sonoma. I have been tempted to do this and give it a try.
Le Refuge in Old Town is listing it as a winter special. Their other food is good, but I haven't tried this particular dish. You can see a photo of it on their site: http://www.lerefugealexandria.com/

Try ridgewells
|
Right next to the car registration.
You guys are awesome, I'm going to give these a shot and let you know in the next couple days how each are.
Also try Balducci's
I've only ever seen it once in life. At Two if By Sea, in NYC, in 1999.
I know someone who cooks for others (think, to freeze) and I know she makes this, but to be honest, while everyone raves about her cooking, I have never tried it. If you want I can give you her contact info...
