Anyone have any experience with this breed? Yeah or nay? Good with kids? Smart? Hard to handle?

Any advice at all?

FWIW, I have experience with large dogs, just not this breed.

I've known a couple through friends. Don't know the specifics you ask for but all 3 were sweet and silly. Also very enthusiastic dogs that like to run and play.

A good family friend has one, very sweet and playful, excellent family dog. The only negative I can think of is that her dog tends to "herd" smaller kids and smaller dogs.
