question for people going to GW

I am about to start IUI with Clomid and was told to call on day 1 of my cycle and then have the bloodwork/sono/start clomid on day 3. Normally, day 1 of my cycle is a Monday (so day 3 would be Wednesday) so I didn't pay attention to what I'm supposed to do if day 1 is during the weekend. And now of course AF came on Saturday so day 3 would be Monday, except I can't call for an appointment in advance because they are closed on the weekend. If anyone who goes to GW knows what the protocol is here, I'd really appreciate it. I'm planning to just show up at 7am (that is when they do the day 3 monitoring) and hope for the best. I don't want to wait until Tuesday because I'd like to start clomid on day 3 as my RE recommended. Thanks!!!

Are you sure they are not opened on weekends? That is so strange... what would a patient do if AF comes on a Thursday or Friday for example, and day 3 is Sat or Sunday?

What if your ovulation falls on a weekend and you need to have the IUI done on that weekend?

But yes, I would jsut show up at their door on Monday at 7am

I am just waiting for AF to start my new cycle as well, but I go to another clinic.

I'd call your nurse and your doctor and leave a message. They'll check their messages even on the weekend. Good luck!!

OP here. I'll leave a msg for the nurse coordinator and just show up Monday, I guess. BTW, they do open on weekends when they have to do IUIs, or IVF stuff - but I got the impression that they have less of a weekend operation than Shady Grove. I guess I'll find out if the the nurse does return messages on weekends... Thanks!!!
