Burning tree. What's the problem with the kinder teachers?!

One seems like she yells at the kids and one is in outer space.

I'm not in Bethesda, but why don't you sign your name to your post if you're going to slam teachers in an identifiable way?

Have you tried discussing your concerns with the K teachers or the principal? I'll bet not.

Not understanding - is there a kinder group and a meaner group? Which are you describing? And what is the nature of the problem?

PP, say "kinder" with a short i as in "kindergarten." That is what this rude OP is referring to. He/she is attempting to malign people that can be identified through an anonymous forum.

Cowardly move, OP. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Who says kinder to refer to kindergarten. Unless you are Northern European it sounds affected.

I work in an elementary school. We sometimes refer to that grade as "kinder" (with a short i) when we're talking to one another in shorthand.

Thanks for sharing. Now go back to your Xbox and doing your homework. There's an algebra test on Monday.

I wish I could just go play video games! I'm busy getting my "kinder" kid ready for ballet. And judging others for using stupid phrases.

Actually you wouldn't say "kinder kid." You're not in a school setting. And it's not an adjective. It's shorthand for kindergarten. If someone asked, "What grade is Larla in?"a teacher might respond quickly and say, "She's in kinder." Or someone in the school office might say, "It looks like kinder is just getting back from their field trip."

I guess I could never work in a school then - that would drive me bananas!

I remember hearing the Maret admissions director call it "kindy" during a tour once.
