Hilaria Baldwin - At it again

Before being in this country! Not much to misinterpret there. Nobody who was born here and had spent any part of their life in the US would ever say this. Such a blatant, and very recent attempt to suggest she’s not from here.

And now her husband is on Twitter intimidating actual Spanish-speaking immigrants who are speaking up about how this is harmful. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with these people?! Who is letting this happen?! Doubling down on the lies and going after the legit immigrants? He IS Donald Trump.

His claim that Hilaria's father's mother is Spanish isn't true, right? I know that somewhere on this thread someone had done a deep dive into both parents' ancestry and had included links to obits, etc. Does anyone know where those receipts are? Would love someone who knows or has the time to fact check Alec's claim from this video!

[https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/bennington/obituary.aspx?n=david-l-thomas&pid=195863246] This says he was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Lou Artman, looks like he married his second wife when Hil was 12 ish. Her name is Patricia Thorne. Mary Lou and Patricia do no sound particularly Espanol to me, but IDK.

If she was aces in Spanish she’d be all over Instagram last 10 years speaking it and especially in the last week to prove her bonafides. She’s a dumb and spoiled fraud. She’s had 10 years living like an idle rich housewife to learn the damn language to bolster this con. Lazy dummy.

This explanation from 2014 is clear he knew everything and was fine with it. Don’t see the issue.

But if her father's mother really is/was Spanish, why hasn't she said that in any of her explanations?? I think that is highly likely that it's false, in which case that video of Alec in 2014 either shows him blatantly lying or shows that Hilaria had lied to him about her grandmother and he believed it.

They are all white as rice.

Spanish people are by vast majority white. White as rice.

Please try again.

Spanish people are white as rice but that rice is paella.

It's true that in the US we define Spaniards as white but these definitions don't hold true elsewhere. I discussed this controversy with my husband who is from Central Europe and he said the country he grew up in didn't consider Spain, Italy, or Greece to be white. And our own definition is a little awkward because we consider Greeks who are mostly swarthy, olive skinned, and black haired to be white and yet blonde haired, blue eyed Syrians are brown. There really isn't a clear line between where white ends and brown begins and that's also true of brown and black. Let's all agree that brown-presenting people may be treated differently than white presenting people regardless of government definitions.

He first said the paternal grandmother and then paternal grandmother’s family. Well, was it the grandmother or the very distant family? All BS.

Didn’t her Pops say he didn’t have one iota of Spanish blood in him?

Really? Where is he doing this? That's terrible behavior.

Man, he really is exactly like Donald Trump.

Alec is just mad because this is making him look like an old fool that got played and now he has 5 more kids to support because, for all his intelligence, it's obvious he's been thinking with the wrong brain all these years. He practically got Anna Nicole'd! That's gotta hurt the ego especially when the entire world finds out at the same time.

We see Gwyneth all the time attending yoga classes in the square and she even opened a pop-up Goop shop across from the gas station in town. She is a true yogi and spent her summers in Spain. She speaks fluent Spanish. She studied abroad in Spain. She undoubtedly spent MUCH MUCH more time in Spain than Hilaria. Yet, she has never claimed to be Spanish or spoken English with a Spanish accent.

Hilaria (Hillary) on the other hand, barks at her husband all over town with a Spanish accent and acts as if SHE is the celebrity. I’m sure Gwyneth has nannies but in all the years we’ve lived there, I’ve never seen them. But everywhere Hilaria goes, a team of nannies accompanies her. One for each child, always.

I was surprised to see Alec ventured into town yesterday. The scandal is all anyone is talking about. Even the sweet librarians at Amagansett Free Library were chatting about it when we stopped in. I can’t help but feel bad for him. He has a bad rep but he has always been a kind and charming member of this community. I wish his wife would just apologize, donate to a good cause, and then go on to live a low-profile life with her cute babies.

I'm curious how GP is IRL? The whole GOOP thing is super pretentious and it's generally acceptable to roll your eyes at her. But she always comes across as pretty friendly and charming in interviews and I've never heard any gossip about her being jerky to people.

NP here and I love her but she's Hollywood royalty. Even when she's nuts with her candles she's still classy.

This! At the very least if she truly spoke fluent Spanish it would demonstrate a bit of hard work on her part (since she clearly did not grow up there). There is next to nothing on the internet showing her speaking Spanish.

Also didn't her dad say that even though he liked Spanish culture, he didn't have an iota of Spanish blood?
