JFC. This is Miami of Ohio?

Public colleges stocked with indifferent students who are only there For socializing seem to be doing the worst. Astoundingly stupid people.

It has nothing to do with the caliber of students. 18 year olds be 18 year olds.

Yes.

It is all over the internet.

Apparently NICHE ranks them third in the nation for being a party school.

What parents in their right mind would pay thousands of dollars for that??!!

She said one of the biggest deternents is kids who have had it sharing their experiences in class. Much stronger message coming from her peers. She's terrified of getting it and adhering to all rules.

DS is at a state school with about 5,500 students. They are in week 4 with 4 cases since August 1 (staff and students).

Must not be testing or the state is covering it up.

PP here. They are testing. The university is conducting randomized testing. I highly doubt they are covering things up. The school is located in a small PA town of about 5,000 that has no “strip” where bars are located or people congregate and party. The area has low Covid numbers. Not everyone throws caution into the wind and some schools have been able to build a mindset of being in this together and cooperating for the common good. Not all college kids are irresponsible.

I think my kid goes to the same school. What letter does it start with?

Haha. Ok. It starts with "S".

Yep that’s the one my kid is at.

He probably has patents with the same attitude.

Teens will be teens.

Boys will be boys.

Enablers will fail to hold people accountable.

Very cool. About 2 hours away? Is your child on campus or off?
Numbers still at 4. 2 cases on and 3 cases off campus.

I think my fat fingers probably just got the wrong button. I hit the wrong addend. The total is correct. It should have read 2 on and 2 off.

Our DC is at a similar school in NY with slightly lower numbers of students and cases.

Hey! The program I'm at now (I'm a college student) is providing housing in AZ (along with some other stuff) for students displaced by their colleges. Students are all living in less a bubble where we've all tested negative and removed masks and committed to remaining in our community (about 50 people). So far it's been a really great decision and handled differently than a lot of these colleges. Just passing this on to anyone who might be looking for somewhere to send their kid for the best experience in these COVID times. aplacebeyond.com
