What is the reputation of Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart?

Np. What happened to “love one another” and “treat others the way you want to be treated?”

Anyone know if Visi is taking part in this exercise? No way am I letting my daughter apply to SR now.

Don't judge SR by anonymous posts on DCUM - for all you know there's only a handful of people posting who just keep coming back. The uproar here is on one hour long breakout session a couple weeks ago.

Better to judge it on the official communications of the school which, as we know, have been proved on at least one occasion to be a complete fabrication.

It’s an interesting place. It seems if you are a big enough donor you can merrily abuse the senior administration.

And what exactly was fabricated?

The Head of School's charming story about the Head of the Middle School's departure.

Exactly. Head on over to Visi. It’s a great school as well. Or even better, Holy Child.

+1. AA here that has posted. My family has faced many of those disparities. Just because I can afford 40k tuition, doesn’t mean the cops haven’t pointed a gun at me during a traffic stop because my windows were tinted too dark, or I didn’t get pain medication during trips to the ER because they thought I was drug seeking and could handle the pain when it was actually appendicitis. Those are just examples off the top of my head.

If a cop stops a car with dark tinted windows, I'm sure his/her hand is going to be on their gun regardless of the color of the occupant. A cop is bound to be more alert in a situation where he/she cannot physically see the occupant(s) of a vehicle they have stopped. I know it's not popular to do so right now, but try and see the situation from the cop's point of view. A traffic stop can be (and has been) deadly. If you were cooperative and put your hands on your wheel (like we are all taught to do, regardless of race), there should be no issue, even with dark tinted windows.

As for the hospital, I'm sure they didn't withhold pain medication once a diagnosis was complete. They wouldn't hand out pain medication to a white person who showed up at the ER asking for it either.

This is my issue with DEI. It reduces every interaction to one of racism and discrimination. They are many reasons for what happens during an interaction and it is usually not about race, certainly not in Montgomery County.

NP here. Are you advocating that cops stop all people with guns in hand including stopping a car for something that isn’t an actual violation or non-serious offense? If you have a teenage driver going to school you are okay with that? I read a post the other day that said “We live in a world where trained cops can panic and act on impulse but an untrained civilian must remain calm with a gun in their face”. Whether you believe in racism or not, I’m not sure why you believe escalating a situation that doesn’t need to be escalated is okay.

Exactly my thoughts, if we can screen out families who don't believe their children should be learning about diversity I'd be a lot happier. We have more than enough applicants these days.

Wow!! You want to “screen out” people who don’t agree with you? How funny is that given the subject matter we are talking about. Your true colors are showing and it’s not very flattering. No one said our children shouldn’t be learning about diversity. We are questioning the theory and methods being used. But go ahead and screen us out. That’s really open-minded.

Diversity is good unless it's viewpoint diversity.

All the DEI stuff at Stone Ridge is great if you are a Liberal...the DEI propaganda feeds into the Democratic victim mentality that they want the “victim class” to have—you have an excuse for not being successful in this country, you didn’t get a promotion—it must be because of racism etc.

As a “person of color” I don’t want my kids to ever think they have an excuse to not excel in America. True racism is very rare...imaginary slights are everywhere, as are excuses. There are too many opportunities in America for anyone—including minorities—to have any excuses to not be successful.

And yes, this is all political. Ron DeSantis and other Republican governors are completely against Critical Race Theory, and are attempting to ban it from public school curriculum.

Ok, I will bite. What is the real reason? Official letter said moving forward Texas or something like that.

Oh, that's rich, as conservatives are driven by grievance politics - it's literally the Trump playbook. Grievances and a victim mentality drives conservative media, conservative talk radio and Fox News.

How about just treat everyone the same? No reason to feel guilty because of your wealth or skin color.

Exactly. Turn the school into a SJW DEI CRT echo chamber so only like lemmings alloy poly or stay. Then call everyone else names nonstop.

The new SR Mission Statement. Maybe they can team up w GDS echo chamber.

Most parents at most schools are ignorant to what the new social studies indoctrination is preaching. Ignorant, don’t believe it, too busy, bigger fish to fry, gave up. Just like the activists want.
