You wanted girly girls but they both are turning out to be blond tomboys. You're frustrated with how many people name their dogs "Heidi." Heidi does ballet but you are thinking you'll try gymnastics for Kirsten. You live inside the beltway, but not far inside. You work fulltime but secretly want to be a SAHM.

Okay - this isn't my child's name but it is a little toddler I know and it suits her to a Tee. she is tiny and blonde and adorable and walked at 9 months.

I work with a woman named Wrenetta. She is neither tiny nor blonde, but sweet as can be.

Germanic.
Are you from Denmark?

I was thinking originally from upper midwest, recent transplant to D.C. area (suburbs).

One white parent, one first generation Latino/a American. Church goers but not in a crazy way. Live in new construction in the exurbs. Friendly and like to volunteer or host potlucks.

Named after dead Jewish male relatives. You live in Montgomery country and drive a late model SUV with a third row.

Live in the suburbs, but kind of miss being in the city. Love your family, but they're far away and you don't get to see them enough. Not into princess/disney stuff.

Anyone?

Definitely a Scandinavian and/or German family background. You worried a little about 'Christina' because it was so popular in the '80s, but figured (correctly) that by now it's regained its status as a classic girls' name that is easy to spell and pronounce in many different languages. 'Gretchen' felt like a gamble but it has paid off. It makes you madder than her when Andrew calls her 'Gretched' to be mean. No worries: Grenny can more than hold her own. She specializes in a wicked headlock.
