Are you advocating that you hope criminals start to take lessons in DEI to better distribute their crime amongst our neighborhoods?

Yes, that is certainly an approach which must be examined in greater detail.

This Twitter thread sums up so much. Wow. I’m scared for our city.

USAO Matt Graves, who prosecutes adult crime and some juvenile crime in DC will be interviewed on the Politics Hour at noon today. Hopefully he will be pressed re: why his office is an outlier among major cities, if not the entire country, for their 67% no paper rate. They do take questions during the show or you can email ahead of time.

I was lost at the "gentrification of Thai food" line of attack. Many of the Dem Soc posters active on DC crime threads do not even live in DC.

Many probably agree with this

Twitter is a cesspool

It does not appear that the temporary Emergency Crime Bill was effective, DC is still an outlier.

When Baltimore, Philly and Chicago have a falling homicide rate and DC is going way up, time to reevaluate some of the actions the Council has taken in the past few years, take another look at legislation - NEAR Act, etc.

DC Justice Lab and their puppets on the Council have done so much harm in DC...to see it lose so much ground in terms of crime and quality of life is so sad. For a while there was so much progress.

I have friends who lived here in the 80s who could not believe it when I told then pre-pandemic how safe I felt in DC in the 00s and 10s. It’s a shame we’ve lost so much ground.

this thread pissed me off so badly. the only positive is that I don't think they can succeed in cancelling the restaurant. scary to think that three years ago they could have literally driven them out of business. which of course is why we are in this position with crime ...

Not long ago, just this summer, carjackings were under 600. All this, the shooting in Forest Hills last Saturday with shooters running away across Forest Hills playground, a stabbing outside a $$$ restaurant near the WH and WB last evening, moving WOTP is not nearly as much insulation from crime as it used to be.

And, if in DC, order, pick up or visit Beau Thai. These keyboard warriors who don't even live in the City cannot be allowed to threaten people's livelihood and several people's jobs for speaking about reality. The food is really good too. That said, you may want to go during daylight hours.

DC has so much corruption and it is so insulated by the PTB.

Keep your head on a swivel in Logan, man shot during broad daylight robbery while out with friends on 14th Street Sunday afternoon
