Wooden salad serving bowl

Anonymous
I'm looking for a wooden salad bowl that:

- doesn't require extensive upkeep
- will last
- will not break the bank

Anyone have a wooden salad bowl they can recommend?

I am also looking for a recommendation., My last one broke--granted we use it every single day and had for several years. Still, i would like one that doesn't break.

I got a nice one at the Williams Sonoma outlet - marked down from $100 to about $40. It's held up well so far.

I also have a nice one from Ikea, which hasn't broken, but some of the lacquer finish has chipped off.

How is a wooden salad bowl better than ceramic or glass?
Not a snarky question, I am genuinely interested. TIA.

Crate and Barrel. I have one from the 90's and it's great. You get what you pay for.
