Experience with Dimensions OBGYN / PG Hospital Birth Center

I'm looking for a new midwife/birth center option now that the Maternity Center is closed. Does anyone have any experience (positive or negative) with Dimensions OBGYN or the birth center at PG Hospital? If so, I'd love to hear. Thanks!

Have you looked into Midwifery Care Associates? They used to be the Maternity Center; now they are practicing only at Shady Grove Hospital, with all appointments at the center in Bethesda. www.midwiferycareassociates.com

There's also the DC Birth Center, which delivers either at their birth center in NE DC, or at Washington Hospital Center. They are an awesome choice for having a baby. www.developingfamilies.org

Although I don't know anyone personally who has used the in-hospital 'birth center' at PG hospital, I have heard through the grapevine that they are offering pretty good, midwife-style births there. However I have also heard that it is easy to get risked out of the birthing center area, so that you have to be in regular L&D with all the standard interventions. You should call and interview them, especially if they are the only ones that take your insurance.
