Totally forgot about it while multi-tasking, ugh!
It's 1.5. lbs thin chicken breast, in its package. I think it was out about an hour after I got home from the grocery store, but it may have been 1.5 hours. As soon as I realized what I had done I prepared it and baked it in the oven at 350 degrees. Would you eat it? It's for the kids, not me. I am too spacey today!! |
Yes, I would.
I believe that 2 hours or less is considered safe.
Definitely
Go for it! Chicken smells like hell when its bad....there's no mistaking it.
You're going to cook it?! It is fine unless it smells disgusting. Like PP above says, there is no mistaking that oder.
Thank you!!
It probably tastes better since it had time to come to room temp before baking!
Totally fine. First, you would have noticed if it was bad by the smell, and second, lots of recipes ask you to bring meat to room temperature before cooking.
Totally fine unless it was 100 degrees in your kitchen or something.
I pull my chicken out and let it rest for an hour to get to room temperature. 2 hours is absolutely fine.
