Do you need to RSVP or can you just show up?

I'm told last year some of the, were packed and a total mad house. Any idea?

Just show up. Go to the earlier ones to avoid the last minute rush and attend the ones during the school day/mid-week if you are able. You get a better feel for the school this way also. Good luck!

Second the recommendation to go during the day if possible. Try to talk to some of the current parents if you can.

I wouldn't just show up. I went to several OHs last year and the schools actually have people assigned to handle organizing tours, etc... Unless the invite says to just show up, you should contact the school and let them know your coming.
