| My sister and her family were supposed to come but she had to cancel so I'm not planning to make a full size turkey now. I have already bought a lot of the sides though. Any suggestions on where I can get a really good but small turkey either ready to make or ready to eat? We aren't a big fan of leftovers either. We are in Alexandria. TIA! |
| Just get a breast. |
| Hmm I was hoping to have some dark meat. Is there anywhere that does a 1/2 turkey? |
| Just buy a 6-8lb turkey. Cook and toss what you don't want. |
WHERE does one find a 6-8lb turkey? The smallest I found at WF today was 10lb. I did found a 7lb BREAST only! I ended up getting a 12.39LB at TJ and it was the smallest available. It is just for 2 adults and a preschooler. I am thinking I will freeze TONS of turkey meat after TK. |

The smaller turkeys have proportionately less meat I feel like, you might be surprised.
We ordered ours at MOM's--I think their small range is 10-12 pounds. |
| I saw that wegmans has a half turkey that comes as a prepared meal but it's over $100 so it doesn't really make sense. I'm thinking about going for a breast after all. Has anyone done this at balduccis? If so are they terribly busy like whole foods? |

Even a 10-12 lb. turkey will be fine. I think you will be surprised how little meat there is on a small bird.
We only have four adults, but I do a 22-24 lb. bird - but I LOVE leftovers. |
| Hmmm. Why can't I just decide on a bird? It's like I'm having commitment issues. |
