My daughter is turning 1 in December and I would love to join a cooperative preschool program with her. We are looking into Tender Roots but I don't think our chances of getting in are that great considering we don't live in that community. Any recommendations for programs that start at 1 or 2 years in the Mclean area? I'd love to hear from your personal experiences with a program. Thanks!
Where is Tender Roots located? Where are you looking?

Most of the best cooperative schools in the area are listed at PCPI's directory here: http://www.preschools.coop/v/schools-councils/
You'd have to call the schools or go to their websites to find out about programs. 1 is pretty tiny for any kind of "preschool." I know several of these schools start at 2 though. |

rock Spring starts at 18 months in north arlington

for a 1 year old, you might look into a "mother's day out" program. usually preschools start at 2.
You could try Playgroup in the Park at Glen Echo (just across the river). You probably wouldn't be able to start until next session (September) but it's a parent and child thing.
Arlington UMC in south arlington does a coop program for that age, 1 morning a week I think
Tender Roots was inclusive of families outside of the area when we were there. It's a wonderful parent-child preschool experience.
