We moved here from another state where parents had access to on-line grades. I could go in at anytime and see all the grades for homework, assignments, assessments or tests. It was pretty clear what the subject was and what the grade meant.
Here, there doesn't seem to be any on-line access to your child's grade book. I asked DD's teacher about this. She said that all the grades are recorded on-line for everything that grade but that parents are not allowed to have access to this information. Is this true at all schools or just our school? Does anyone know why? |
No..we have had on-line grading since 4th grade. Shows all grades and for MS there is a calendar to show assignments (though not all teachers use this) What school? |
There is online access for parents in middle school and high school-not in elementary. |
Not true..we had it starting in 4th grade (in MoCo). |
We've had it in MS and HS in MCPS. |
All MS and HS have it. Only a few ES have it. |
We have edline in MCPS in HS. I get emails every time something is updated, which is usually every day. I try to look at it only about once a week since my kid is pretty on top of things and is close to a 4.0 so I don't worry about it too much. I am pretty sure edline is used county wide in MS and HS. |
How can you get it at your ES? |
The teachers have to be winning to upload the grades. You can talk to your ES administration but it is not as easy as turning on a switch...... |
Which ES? The "W" clusters? |
I had it at a Rockville ES..so I assume it is at the W schools too |
I meant the W feeder ESs..of course the actual school do, |
