Silly question about running tights

Anonymous
Am I supposed to wear shorts over them? Or is it ok to wear just the running tights like leggings or yoga pants? TIA

male or female?
commando or with underwear?

Female, with underwear (I assume, unless that's a faux pas too). Fwiw, I checked and the lines are not visible.

You can wear them without shorts. Just try to wear a top that is long enough to cover the butt area.

Great, thank you!

Are you going running? Wear what is comfortable. You don't have to wear a long shirt. Also, I would recommend no underwear as the cotton may chaff when it gets wet and will make you colder than the synthetic material of the tights in cold weather.

If you are fat, please don't wear them at all. Stick to looser fitting clothes which are more comfortable anyway. Never understood the appeal of tight fitting clothes when running or doing any sort of cardio.

If you're an asshole, please don't continue to post on DCUM.

New Poster here. I run with tighter fitting clothes because I find them more comfortable. I don't like the feel of looser fitting clothes flopping around when I run.

I am not fat, but I would not judge someone who was, wearing tighter clothes for workouts.

OP, I wear them without underwear (like another pp said, regular cotton panties might chafe...or even if you don't see lines now, as you move things might shift and bunch up and get uncomfortable) and without shorts over them. If you are concerned with modesty, go ahead and wear shorts

I wear boy short type undies under running tights. I tried to go commando and it was too uncomfortable.

I wear them and found I have to go commando. Usually wear with a longer shirt or light running jacket.

I personally wear light shorts over mine for modesty, but nothing underneath. Sometimes in winter when it's REALLY cold, I'll wear two pairs of tights layered over each other.

I would never wear underwear during a run, because chafing can be annoying and painful.

These posts are so unhelpful. Even if the PP is overweight, isn't it good that she is getting out there, trying to do something about it rather than staying inside getting fatter? Who cares what you think?

I'm not a skinny person, and I wear tight leggings to workout. But hey, at least I'm working out? 30 pound gone, thanks to my tight pants! And I go running 3-4x a week too! Woohoo!

+1. Actually, leggings and tights are so much easier for heavier people, since you don't have to deal with chafing like you do with shorts.

Nothing like women bashing other women as they try to do something healthy and good for themselves! Getting in that holiday spirit, PP?

OP, I wear leggings without shorts. Some I wear commando if they already have an underwear-like cotton lining otherwise I have some wicking athletic underwear from Champion and Title 9.
