Does anyone have ideas? We are in DC but could do near-in VA or MD. It does not have to be something kid-specific, like if there is something like Hibachi that might be interesting to a 2.5 year old? (Has anyone done this with a toddler? Was it fun?) We are just looking for a dinner idea or other early evening activity that would be a bit more fun for him instead of the typical restaurant.
2.5 is too young for bowling right? Thanks! |
The only restaurant our 15 month old will sit still for is hibachi. She loves it! There's a place in Tyson's but the food is only so so. We also sometimes take her to the mall bc she likes to walk around the ll bean store and Barnes and noble. Then we take her up to ride the train by the food court. |
Isn't there also a hibachi-type place somewhere within Georgetown University? |
They're kind of depressing but some malls have play areas for kids. A 2 1/2 yo would probably appreciate it. Some place to climb etc. |
Thanks, all. I was thinking hibachi. Will try to see what's around. |
Hana Tokyo in Alexandria is by far the best hibachi grill we've been too.
They have great sushi too. |
Chick fil a in fairfax has a great playground for toddlers. |
We went bowling at Bowlmore in Bethesda on River Rd and they had good food and little bowling ramps for kids to use (like a little slide the kid pushes the ball down). Our 2 yo loved it. |
Thanks. We ended up doing this and he loved it!! Appreciate the suggestion ![]() |
Duck pin bowling in White Oak too. |
