Every year my grandmother holds a big thanksgiving dinner at her house. Most of the family comes(we have a huge family) but a few don't because they go to their spouses family's houses but this year every single person will be at my grandmothers house. I'm so happy we will all be together but I know it's different this year because my grandmothers health is declining and everyone fears this will be her last thanksgiving

Hi OP. We had something similar happen with my family and my grandmother passed 3 days later. That last Thanksgiving is such a wonderful memory. She was already pretty ill and had been starting to zone out more and more, but on that Thanksgiving she was her old self.

Take lots and lots of pictures. Make sure someone has an actual camera with a timer and a tripod. Make sure camera is fully charged. Take the time. LOTS of pictures. Everyone will groan and whine at the time, but you'll be so grateful for it if this is indeed the last time everyone can get together.

Video cameras. Record conversations, talk w/ your grandmother about her life and capture it on film. Record a few minutes of dinner, etc...

So great that you all get to be together for a happy occasion and can consciously appreciate it while she's still with you.

I second the conversation recordings. I record my grandma all the time on my iphone when I'm talking to her. Just her voice mainly, but she doesn't know.
