My husband and I are looking for financial/budgeting software. We both use Macs. We've tried Mint, but it is taking me forever to categorize transactions because we use the internet version. Ten plus years ago, when I was using PCs, I was an avid Quicken user, and loved that software so I'm looking for something similar.
What financial software do you use on your Mac? Are you happy with it (or not) and why? Thanks! |
We use this: http://moneydance.com/ Nothing fancy, but works for us. |

ibank.
Happy with it, but would be happier if computer programs today came with a manual. I know it can do more than I know how to make it do. |
| Another Moneydance user here. It was a fairly easy transition from Quicken for me. I'll say up front that I'm not a "power" user, however. I keep track of a bunch of bank and credit accounts and I track a couple of mutual funds. I'm not monitoring stocks, developing complex budgets, etc. |

YNAB.
It's awesome, cloud sync with phone. Very good. |
| Thanks for all of the responses. I'm going to try MoneyDance. |
| My favorite is the one that I have been using as of now. The cloud based expense reporting app from Replicon - http://www.replicon.com/olp/expense-reports.aspx which manage to work in a hassle free manner with significant productivity. |
| Does moneydance auto sync with your accounts like Mint? Any mac friendly programs that do? |
| Not sure if this is answering the question, but I can (and do) download information from my bank accounts into Moneydance. |
