Teaching Methods at OLV?

Can anyone with kids at OLV comment on the instructional style(s)? Is it mostly teacher-centered as in sit/absorb/repeat with heavy use of textbooks/technology and worksheets or do teachers include some student-centered activities with encouragement of higher order thinking - creativity, critical thinking and inquiry? My first impression is no, but I thought I would check here...

I don't have a child there, but a good friend does and is doing great. She loves all that the school has to offer. For my active child, when I toured, I didn't think it would be a fit.
