They're good. ITS or Basic Concepts as well. |

So my insurance company covers National Speech, Pediatric Development Center, and Leslie Kessler & Associates. We live in Kensington. We need speech therapy.
National Speech seems to have a huge amount of staff. I reviewed older posts and it seems Monica Maines at National Speech is highly regarded. Is there anyone else at NS that people have used and like/don't like? PDC and Leslie Kessler also have quite a few speech therapists. Any feedback on them - who do you like/don't like? I had hoped to go to ITS but insurance doesn't cover it and cost is an issue. Thanks! |
| We've had a good experience at National Speech. A friend of mine did not have a good experience with Kessler. |
| LOVE national speech. |
| Language experience is good. Short sessions, though, which kind of annoyed me. |

We're in Kensington. If you cut over on Cedar, its an easy trip to National Speech. We've been there for two years and happy. Their billing department sucks and they do not keep up with referrals so that is a hassle. Other than that, our therapist is great, the staff is friendly and our kid loves it.
We've seen Monica twice and liked her when our therapist was not available. Ours has no availability and I think Monica is pretty full. Everyone I talk to is happy with the therapists there. ITS does not take insurance, which is why we didn't try them. |
| Laura Rubinoff and associates, but they don't take insurance and they are expensive |
| We're a few years removed from this, but isn't the Language Experience Leslie Kessler's operation? |
yes |
That's what I thought. We didn't think very highly of them. |
| Does anyone have any experience with Pediatric development center or other speech therapists for autistic toddlers? |
| Mandy Hart in Wynnwood. Practice is located about a block from the school in her home. She is sweet and gentle and my son loved her. |
