Holy shit.
DOJ apparently even made TRAINING VIDEOS instructing FBI to wipe Trump's name from the Epstein files.

People and the courts do not care. No justice will come from this.

Polling shows that almost 90% of Americans very much do care about the Epstein case and want justice. The people deflecting, distracting, obstructing, lying, covering up, denying this need to be held to account.

He was a convicted rapist, convicted felon, and they still voted for him. They will still support him, no matter what. I suspect it’s much much worse than we anticipate otherwise they wouldn’t have to strategize about this privately.

Same. Anyone who has been paying attention would assume that there are several 16/17 year olds he had sex with from Epstein’s list of girls/eomen. His supporters will easily write that off as he was told they were 18.

At this point, I assume there’s terrible stuff there (really young kids, audio of threats/rape, etc) I don’t know how anyone who has seen it wouldn’t be tempted to leak because it would be the ethical and moral thing to do. Don’t know how Bondi gets up in the morning.

If you’ve been paying really close attention, you’d know Trump was sued in 2016 by a woman who alleged she was 13 years old back in 1994, when she was raped by Trump at Epstein’s apartment during a sex party, and that she had sexual contact with him on 3 other occasions — all of which were corroborated by a witness who had recruited the victim for Epstein. A second witness came forward to verify that this victim had told her about the rape contemporaneously. According to the victim, both Epstein and Trump knew she was only 13 years old. The victim ultimately dropped the lawsuit after receiving multiple threats and fearing for her safety.

Absolutely necessary. They will get death threats from MAGA for the rest of their lives if their names come out.

A few weeks? months? back the New Yorker had an article about two of the women who went on the record about Roy Moore’s history of creeping on teenage girls. The day after the election, one woman’s house burned down. Another was run off the road into a ravine while driving, hung upside down for several hours awaiting rescue, and nearly died. In both cases, authorities were keen to write the incidents off as accidental without further investigation.

And those were just the most dramatic incidents — there was also smaller-scale bullying by their social circles, church communities, and other town residents. It’s horrifying that we live in a world where the victims face a real possibility of worse social consequences than the abusers themselves. But one of the women said that she never would have come forward if she knew what she’d have to go through as a result, and you really can’t blame her for coming to that conclusion.

Yeah. I thought we were taking a super hard line against criminal immigrants, and here is this evil, depraved, convicted pwoman who has ruined the lives of many victims just kicking back.

Excellent points, both you and pp. Maxwell should be stripped of her US citizenship and deported the instant her prison sentence ends. If Trump pardons her, bring her up on state charges and put her ass back in prison.

Can you provide a legitimate link to support 90%?

‪MSNBC‬

BREAKING: Source reports that Maxwell said she saw no wrongdoing by Trump in conversation with Blanche

(just because SHE claims she didn't see any "wrongdoing"
(however she defines that) doesn't mean it didn't happen)

On the otherhand, since she had no issue raping young women, she wouldn't see trump as doing the same as wrongdoing.

She's a criminal and we shouldn't believe criminals.

...who get moved to cushy prisons as a result of their "conversation."

I honestly think Trump shot himself in the foot here and made himself look even more guilty - Blanche interviews Maxwell —> she moves to a cushy prison —> she says Trump is innocent. They are not even trying to be convincing at this point. I guess they realize they don’t need to be. As long as they go through the motions, congress will get him out of it.

+1 Did they think they could just sneak her in there and no one would notice? Certainly not the way to take the focus off the issue.

I also like that the clintons have been subpoenaed. Clinton is a lawyer. Can she use discovery or any subpoena power now herself to get all the dirty business into the light of day?

Why do you think that Hillary Clinton knows anything about this?

Why wasn’t Alex Acosta subpoenaed? He oversaw the initial dirty deal that let Epstein off with a petty misdemeanor and shielded all of his coconspirators.

Democracy Forward has filed a lawsuit for Epstein materials. This could go somewhere.

But, of course they subpoenaed Hillary and Robert Mueller who had nothing to do with the Epstein case. I hope they ignore the subpoenas just like the Republicans do.

No, I love it when Hillary wipes the floor with these clowns in Congress. It’ll be 11 hours of pure entertainment.

Our Congress is vacationing in Israel because Mike Johnson didn't want to vote on the Epstein files. Hmm...
