Where is your retirement money going to come from?

Not how much...Lord knows that question has been asked a million times already.

I'm asking WHERE you are stashing your dollars for retirement, ex:

1) 401K
2) home equity
3) Life Insurance/Annuity

that kind of thing.....

All three of those plus investments outside of our 401K.

One pension

A hybrid pension at current job. Defined contribution and growth, 12% of annual salary and 7.25% annual interest. I've never really heard of that type of plan before, which is why I described it.

One 457 plan (government version of 401(k))

401K equivalent, and hopefully some inheritance

Which employer offers that kind of retirement if you don't mind?

Social Security will be the biggest piece. Between the house and 401k we'll probably have about $500k, which will go pretty fast when our health goes south. No inheritance on the way.
I'm 50 and already having to start figuring out the Medicare landscape.

The bulk will come from Roth 401K & Roth IRA

Our house is paid off, but will not count on that... unless we live over 90 years old. Otherwise, the house will go to our child.

Pensions (one main and a small one) , home equity ( about 350-400K within this decade), some smaller and negligible amount of investments, and SS for one of us.
