Implantation bleeding or chemical pregnancy?

Anonymous
Hello,

I'm at 11 DPO. Positive pregnancy test early this morning, Monday evening and a very, very, very faint line on Sunday. My luteal phase is usually around 11 days.

I just noticed some pinkish discharge on some toilet paper and am thinking that it's probably a 'chemical pregnancy'

Could it be implantation bleeding this late in my cycle?? My temperature was still up this morning.

Thank you

Spotting can be very common in early pregnancy (I had spotting in my fifth week with my first pregnancy and was sure I was miscarrying - but everything was fine). Just wait and see. I've got my fingers crossed for you!

I think you're pregnant! The real kind. Your experience so far sounds identical to my three pregnancies (and healthy kids).

Good luck and let us know. Waiting sucks.

OP here. Thanks so much for your good wishes! Still just a little discharge but no blood.... Do you think I should do a HPT again tomorrow?

I am not one of the PPs- I would wait 48hours to retest since the pregnancy hormone doubles every 48hours.
The discharge could just be the beginning of your period so I really think the pregnancy test is a better indication of whether or not you are pregnant. Your faint line sounds promising.

OP-- what happened? I had implantation spotting with both of my pregnancies and I was pulling for you!

OP here. The spotting lasted for 4 days or so, and I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow! Thanks 11:34 for following up

Congrats! I was wondering about you, too.

11:34 here -- congratulations!
Just so you know I had spotting off and on during my entire first trimester in my last pregnancy. I was sure something was wrong, but the doc said that the implantation bleeding can actually continue on and off as the embryo moves further in to the uterine lining. Everything turned out fine in the end and I have a wonderful napping 5 month old. : )
