Noticed that the thread about "alternative" vaccination schedules started off with an edict not to participate if you had strong views about the topic that weren't directly related to the question being asked.

That, of course, comes with the premise that the question itself was suitable or valid. Some would challenge that. Some DID challenge that. Those posts were removed.

So does this mean that if I begin threads by decreeing what are acceptable and unacceptable posts that you will regulate the thread accordingly? Seems like a slippery slope to me.

This has been the case for some time, subject to my availability to monitor the thread. I think it is reasonable to allow the OP a fighting chance of getting actual answers to her query rather than just having the same old debate rehashed for the umpteenth time. If you feel a strong need to debate vaccination schedules, you are welcome to start your own thread on the topic. While you are at it, please include circumcision and breast feeding among the topics. I'm sure that everyone will remain civil and courteous throughout the discussion.
