Ceramic vs. Glass Tiles

Pros and cons of each type as kitchen backsplash? A vendor was discouraging us from using glass because he said the tiles are more difficult to cut/install than ceramic. I just really like the look of glass subway tiles though. We are considering doing the backsplash ourselves but will consider having someone do the work for us.

Unless you really know what you're doing, don't try to do glass yourselves. A couple houses we looked at were obvious DIY-ers, and not in a good way. Hire a pro or stick to a simple ceramic tile if you really want to install yourself.
