Sleep-away camp for a 9/10-year-old girl?

Anyone have recommendations for a good sleepaway camp (traditional camp with horseback riding, a lake, cabins, etc) for a girl who will be turning 10 over the summer? Preferably all-girls and with 10-day or 2 week session--not ready to let her go for too long!!

Try Camp Carysbrook. All girls by VT, I went there when I was a girl and I believe it's still the same. Fantastic memories

I agree with the previous response. I also went to Carysbrook as a girl and cherish the time I spent there. Owned and operated by the same family since 1980 and offers all the best of a traditional girls camp. Beautiful setting in SW Virginia.

Rim Rock - just 2 hours away in WV - is a great first sleepaway camp for girls. It's in a beautiful setting, has tons of horses (everybody gets to ride), bunks, 2 pools and lots of activities. They have 2 week sessions.
