| Its my sons 18th bday and this has been his dream since he has played for almost 6 years to attend the Superbowl. He said he would rather forfeit the party we were going to make him in Jan. to get tickets to the Superbowl. How do I get tickets? I know nothing about football (and dont' want to tell my husband) and I don't want to ask my son because this would be a surprise for both of them. Both their birthdays are within a week of each other. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated. |

I think you'd need to travel back in time to 1980. Is he a fan of the Los Angeles Rams or the Pittsburgh Steelers?

The tickets for the super bowl are split up several ways by the NFL not the local stadium or team hosting it. As it gets closer to the game the teams in the palyoffs will notified of the policy for tickets to season ticket holders of the teams still in it. I think it is like 20% per team that gets to the Super Bowl. The rest are all corporate america type tickets.
The best play to get them will be the nfl ticket exchange partner, now ticketmaster not stub hub. I am sure you can get them on stub hub but anythgin you see out there now is someone just speculating they will get them. The face value this year isd $1600 for the cheapest ticket so i wodl avoid any broker that is not well known. I have been to many of them and seen many folks standing outside saying but i bought my ticket and he said it was real. Sucks the NFL allows copr america to take over this event. |
How's that? The NFL is a corporation. |
| You need a time machine. |
+1 It would be a very expensive trip. |
Here's a little hint though - the Steelers will beat the Rams 31 - 19. If you can find enough bookies, you might be able to break even. |

You're about 24 hours late with that joke. Second pp already pointed it out. |
Ahh, what a game it was. 4 wins in 6 years -- the beginning of a dynasty. Took 25 more years to get to Sixburgh. |
| My brother got seats at face value 2 years ago and I think those were $750 each. It's ridiculously expensive. I have no idea how to get there inexpensively. |
| I looked into going last year and it was crazy expensive not just for tickets but for hotels. This year because it is in NJ/NY, you might be able to do hotels reasonably priced but nowhere close to the stadium I suspect. But the tickets can be insanely expensive. |
