Losing job, question about life and dental insurance

Anonymous
I am about to lose my job. Luckily our medical and dental last through the duration of my severance. Can anyone recommend a good, affordable dental plan for "individuals" (rather than company rates)? I'm also wondering if I should shop for term life insurance. My employer provided it, but if I am about to have no income and I'm not sure when I will be drawing a paycheck again and how much I will make, can I get life insurance and how much should I get? Recommendations for solid coverage/affordable rates also requested. I imagine going through the company who handles our car and home owners' insurance would save us money.

Check with your employer but likely toucan concert the life insurance you have through them to a personal policy.

I don't know what toucan concert life insurance is. I wouldn't worry as much about dental. Get some cleanings now while you have insurance and actually you can postpone cleanings or just pay out of pocket. We have never had dental or good dental insurance anyway. I would worry about the insurance insurance.
