Itchy fingers this time of year - help!

Anonymous
In recent years, during this time of the year when the weather starts getting cold, my fingers become really dry. My finger pads are extremely dry and then my fingers become dry and itchy. No matter how much lotion or aquaphor I put on them, they continue to be dry and itchy. I've seen a dermatologist a few years ago for this and she prescribed a steroid cream for eczema. It helps a little but only temporarily. I do like to wash my hands frequently and I do wash dishes in hot water as well.

Anyone else have something similar and can offer any product suggestions? TIA!

have you tried bag a balm? I have used that on my dry skin and it helps.

I will also state the obvious... wear golves when washing dishes and put lotion on your hands immediately after washing.

I like the green tub of stuff from bed bath and beyond. They sell it at their register and I just can't think of the name.

OP I would make sure you wash dishes with rubber gloves, that might be the best solution. I get rashes in the winter when I don't wear gloves.
