Do you just say screw it and then just let yourself go because DH is the one making less money?
I see it with men all the time. |
I don't know what let myself go means. I look the same as when we got married, but i have never been particularly engaged in how i look, except to keep neat and professional. |
No. I think part of the reason that I have a high HHI is because I am driven in many areas of life, including staying fit. I am also in a high profile sales job, so appearance matters.
|
Not even close. I'm a C-exec and I work hard to maintain a professional, pulled together appearance . This includes maintaining my weight, haircut every 6 weeks, monthly facial and pedi with gel mani every 2 weeks. |
No. Because I make more money, I have access to high powered men and I like to indulge in a little extramarital flirtation from time to time. Need to keep up my appearance for that. |
I let myself go because I had a passel of kids, no time, no sleep and menopause.
But for menopause the same is true for my husband. nothing to do with income. |
gross I hope you don't dip your stick |
There's no either / or. I'm successful in my profession AND take my appearance seriously. I like to look good for myself, but also because in my professional sphere looking professional and pulled together is an asset. |
Huh? I eat healthy and get exercise because I want to feel and look good, regardless of marital status or income or anything else. I think if people are "letting themselves go" it has more to do with things like low self esteem, depression, feeling overwhelmed, etc., than anything else.
|
? I'm female. |
Same here. |
I am normal, you frauds are not. |
Exactly. In addition to brining in a healthy income, I'm also a triathlete. I had my children in my mid-20s so my body bounced back very fast, so that was never a struggle. I like to have it ALL: -Good job -Great body -Hot husband -Beautiful home Most successful women I know are not only professionally driven, but are also very competitive when it comes to sports and fitness. |
They sound like horrible wives and mothers. "Driven" and "competitive" likely conflict with being a caring, compassionate person. |
Dude, if they were hot in the first place, they could find a guy with a good job. Women making more means she's not much to look at almost by definition. |
