Pregnitude

Has anyone had any luck with the supplement Pregnitude. I realize it is for women with PCOS but I have not be diagnosed. I am 37 and have been TTC for about 6 months with no luck.

never heard of it. Honestly, I think you are better off seeing an RE. Supplements seem to me only helpful if you have a specific vitamin deficiency or something very minor...but at 37 I am guessing it may possibly be more of an age/egg quality issue which I doubt a supplement can cure--but then again I am not a diehard "all natural" type!

My OB just told me that she doesn't know why it helps, but it does help. I don't have PCOS, and she gave me a couple of samples just to try. She said it's got some of the vitamins necessary for fertility, and that it doesn't hurt to try

I used it but it messed up my cycle. I don't have PCOS but it didn't seem like anything in it would mess up my cycle. I read the reviews where other women said the same thing. Maybe if you don't have PCOS it messes things up, but if you do have PCOS it can help you ovulate? I'm sure the valid explanation is not nearly that simple.

At 37 I would not lose months trying a run of the mill supplement that your own OB thinks might work but can't explain. At the very least call and set up a consult with an RE in the area.

Thanks so much. I agree and set up an appointment with an RE. My RE never heard of it and she is at Hopkins. Oh well, she did say it would not hurt but if I had to go on actual fertility drugs, IE. clomid, then she would have me discontinue it.

I took it and my periods became like clockwork. 28 days cycles instead of the previous 40-45 days. It started working for me in one cycle. I have PCOS and Clomid did nothing. Metformin thrice a day used to bring it to 35 days most of the time, but Pregnitude has been the best.

Thats good to know that you had luck with Pregnitude. Did you experience headaches.

Pregnitude is just myo-inisitol and folic acid. I've used it for a few months, I do not have PCOS. I am also still not pregnant. The effects on my cycle are hard to tell because I've also been on clomid while using it. It's one of those "can't hurt, might help" type supplements. If you are curious, try it for 2 or 3 months and see if you notice a difference....
