Hi, looking at all options for my son after he turns 2. The DC Parks programs are so affordable compared to the private preschools like Aidan, SFF, NCRC, etc. What's the catch? Is the DC program not really preschool? Do they have a curriculum or is it free play? Which one would you pick and why? Thanks for your advice. |
bump...I would like some info too. |
It's Parks & Rec, it is a playgroup. It is NOT pre-school. If it were real pre-school, it would include such essentials as a curriculum and certified teachers.
You do have options other than private pre-school and city-sponsored daycare/playgroups: There are a handful of public & charter organizations which offer free-to-the-public genuine pre-school education including early childhood education and pre-literacy curricula. |
