35 married, 2 kids, very high income, high net worth
Health Dental Homeowners Car Long term disability Term life Variable life ( I think I actually makes sense for me, but income went very high when I was young) Umbrella Workers comp for nanny Self insure short term disability Too wealthy for Ltc to make sense Separate umbrella for all investment properties owned by LLCs I love insurance, but believe in high deductibles to control costs. I have very high limits. |

29, married. We don't have a ton of money, but I really believe in getting LT disability and term life insurance while you can still qualify and get a decent rate.
We have: Health Dental Renter's Car Long-term disability Term life (80) - $500K each for me and spouse We do not have: Short-term disability Long-term care Umbrella policy Whole life Vision (had it, but it wasn't worth the cost) |
| 53, no short term disability, long term care and no umbrella policy. I have all of the rest. I don't see the point of short term disability - have tons of saved sick leave plus savings at this point. I am friends with people in the long term care insiders and they say LTC insurance doesn't pay out very much so it's not usually worth the money. I don't know why I don't have an umbrella policy. |

A single mom with a 7-year old, I am mid-40s:
Have: Health Dental Vision ST Disability Term life Umbrella policy Car Homeowners Don't have: LT Care (I plan to buy when I reach 50 or so, which is the 'sweet spot' for value) Whole life (don't even know what that is) |

Married, 33, 1 kid.
Health Dental Homeowners Car Whole life Term life Umbrella policy Riders for a few personal property items that wouldn't be covered under homeowner's insurance |

Health
Dental Homeowners Car Life insurance Would love short term disability, but we're feds and can't find and policies. I've heard LTC is a waste of money. |
| Especially the high HHI posters: get umbrella insurance! We have $5M coverage for about $1200 a year. People will sue you over a playground accident. Get insured! |
I have AFLAC cancer insurance through my employer. lol, they pay me $100 every time I get a PAP smear |
