Is the possibility of a shutdown in January making you rethink your Christmas/holiday plans?

We had a trip planned but are rethinking it. It totally annoys me to even have to rethink it.
Part of me says to just continue with our plans and not let the idiots in Washington keep us from enjoying ourselves. But we've used a lot of PTO during this last shutdown and will not have as much flexibility for kids' school holiday activities, winter weather.

Nope. I really don't see another shut down happening.

We're so wealthy we can't imagine rethinking Christmas.

Not so much rethinking plans as planning to be prepared - we had our freezer stocked so we didn't have to buy much at the store this time around, and I think we'll do that again. Really hope it doesn't come to another shutdown though.

No, not at all. Double Feds here.

It's making us put off buying a new car. We were going to stay put for Christmas anyway.

We are enjoying the furloughs; it's made for some great deals at hotels. Hoping it happens again.

We decided to cut back in June this year. The budget for all gifts - Christmas, birthdays, graduations, etc. was cut in half. No gifts are bought on credit.
