School with lots of playtime in kindergarten

Is there a private school in VA or western MD that has a kindergarten curriculum with small classes and an emphasis on creative play?

Do you mean Western Maryland (e.g. out by Deep Creek) or Western MoCo? If you mean the latter, you might look at Washington Waldorf, and maybe Green Acres.

There is also a Waldorf school in Arlington, Potomac Crescent, that would warrant a look. I don't know much about the school itself, but creative play is a huge part of the waldorf K curriculum.

Green Acres has a ton of outdoor time, plus choice time that includes play in the classroom, plus PE 3 or 4 times a week, plus art and creative movement each week.

Small groupings of 7-10 kids per teacher, depending on the year and lots of intermingling so kids socialize with the whole group at various times.

North Bethesda/Rockville near 270 and not far from the Beltway.
