| A friend and I are meeting for a girls' weekend in Nashville in a few weeks. I'd love some recommendations for fantastic restaurants--mid-priced places would be great! |
|
Bump....not the OP but we are headed there in January for a conference and would also love some suggestions.
Thanks! |

Midtown Cafe is pretty good, maybe slightly higher than mid-priced but not much.
Sole Mio is good for Italian. Tin Angel is decent, as is Rosepepper Cantina. |

Cafe Margot - nicer, super delicious
Jack's BBQ - to die for, my husband's favorite BBQ ever Family Wash - amazing shepherd's pie, cool vibe Pancake Pantry - long line, but it's an institution Germantown Cafe - nicer, great food Bistro 123 - nicer, good food Calypso Cafe - casual, perfect for a quick bite Loveless Cafe - a bit of a drive outside Nashville Flying Saucer - lots of beers on tap Noshville - casual Oh man, Nashville has such good food... I'm so jealous! |

Pancake pantry is a great spot. But be prepared to wait in line.
Our best meal was at monells. It's a family style spot with amaaaazeballs food. |

A former Nashvillian here - skip Pancake Pantry. Overrated and an insane wait. Have brunch at Tin Angel or Noshville instead. Bread & Company is great for a quick sandwich. And as another poster recommended, Calypso Cafe is great - best chicken.
There is a great Turkish restaurant called Anatolia in a strip mall. We used to go a few times every month. |

Thanks for all the recs!

| Rippeys for BBQ and great live music! |
NP here. I looked at the websites for both Tin Angel and Noshville, and they look great, but not particularly local. I know the OP was asking for recommendations for good food, but if I can hijack the thread, I'm wondering if you could give some recommendations for great food that's very Nashville. Or perhaps just very Southern? |
| Monell's. i am shocked no one else has recommended it yet. fried chicken at every meal. |
| Prince's Hot Chicken! |

| There's the Loveless Cafe, which is "down home," but really what's not local about Tin Angel? What do you mean by "local?" |
