COGAT feedback from kids

Did your child give you any feedback about tests this past week? Mine said it was soooooo boring and took forever because teacher read each question.

My kid said the same. It looks like his teacher read lot of questions.

I hope he did it well.

My D had 'practice' tests this week and will take the CogAt next week. I'm not sure how well that's going to work out since she and her friends are already complaining as to how boring it is.

My kid said it was super boring and long bc each day bw 8-10 kids had to go to the bathroom. Teacher read all questions so each time they had to stop test and wait for kids.

Day One: "Easy and fun"

Day Two: "Sooooo looong!" Had to raise hand a couple times because kid needed more time. Did I say looooong? (flop head onto the table with a sigh and a whine)

Day Three: Teacher made everyone go potty right before the test so they didn't have to go during the test Not as boring as day two because it wasn't so long. Easier than day two because it wasn't so long. Not as easy as day one, but still kind of fun.

Really?

I thought the entire district took the test this week.

Maybe that is why your daughter and friends are complaining about it being boring.

My DS liked them because it was easy and he didn't get homework

Really? My kid got the homework this week though he had test last 3 days.

No homework here either.. I also thought all of the testing was done this week for the entire FCPS. Maybe you should talk to the teacher since it sounds like your child may be confused,

Why 4 days? it was 3 for the rest of our kids.

It is probably for scheduling. What does it matter if the window is 3 days or 4 days?

Because taking the test in 3 days takes more focus and concentration than spread out for 4 days. With 3 days, the kids took 3 sections per day. It's a lot easier to take shorter tests spread out than concentrated.

There were six sections last year.
