my cousin is down there on spring break to visit a friend and says it's amazing and wishes he went there instead of his top 3 lac.
|
| everyone i know who has gone there ended up back home the following year but then went back after a year at home meaning they enjoyed it too much and had to get the grades back up |
| Zooming up in the rankings since Donna Shalala took over. Now just behind Wisconsin (Shalala's old school). |
| It is better than it used to be and might have some good programs but I don't think anyone would mistake it for a top school of any sort, other than athletics. |
Top 50, but not Ivy caliber. |
Yes, they're both ranked in the 40s now. So you'd say the U is trending up? |
Very international in a Latin America way, not popular among Asians. |
| I think kids like it....its still a glorified party school, fun for the sports....there are a lot of drugs (I know all schools have them) but with proximity to Miami it makes it "easier"r |
How many people could this be? |
On Spring Break in October?
|
pp probably meant fall break. |
|
love the U!
Went there for grad school, lived in South Beach, it was insane. Suntan U. |
| The Miami area is poised to boom and "The U" (that's what they call it) is moving up along with the area. Great for bilingual students. |
| Think its considered to be an expensive party school with a lot of rich flashy kids from the Northeast. I would not allow my kids to apply there. |
