Hey all,
I did an IUI last Sunday, the 6th, with the trigger shot Ovidrel on the 4th. I've been feeeling nauseous the last few days, tired, and not myself. I began testing using cheap HPTs, yesterday and at three this morning (11 days after the IUI). Both were negative. This afternoon I splurged for a more expensive HPT, first response early response pregnancy test, which is more sensitive to lower levels of hcg, and a positive came up after about 30 seconds. I go in for the formal beta on Monday so I'll have my answer then....... not sure whether it is the trigger shot registering with the first response test or is it really a positive pregnancy test? |
| The trigger is out of your system in a few days. Keep testing and if the line gets darker - it's positive. Congrats! |
I'd say it's likely you're pregnant! |
My trigger doesn't test out until 10-11 days post trigger. It's hard to tell. Try again tomorrow with the same test at the same time of the day and see if it gets darker. |
| It very much depends on your metabolism rate for the trigger. For me, the positive at 11 days post trigger was real. My beta levels were so low, though, that the symptoms I had were entirely in my head or a result of the progesterone. Fingers crossed for you! |

For me, 10 days post trigger was real. I was in total denial and was sure it was the trigger.
But test again tomorrow and if the line gets darker, you're in business! Congrats! |
Op... Test this morning was positive and line was darker. I pray it sticks. Thanks all for the advice
|
| I hope it sticks , but, as a word of caution (and I've posted this here before), after my trigger tested out, I got a few positives on HPTs before my beta. Beta was negative, so it must have been a chemical. So be optimistic, but temper your excitement (if you can) until you get your positive beta back. |

You are pregnant! Congrats!! If it was the trigger, the line would have been lighter today, not darker.
I know people's metabolism are different, but for me, by 8DPIUI I would get a positive all 3 times. |
A little mean. |
| Interested in how this turned out. OP, any update you could share? |
| Congrats! |
