Workout clothes - at the airport

Anonymous
I am guilty of wearing workout clothes while running errands, not because it's a real outfit but because I make stops post-gym. But can't get on board with tight ass spandex pants, tanks, and running shoes at the airport. Afraid this is a trend that won't die. Comments appreciated!

I wear whatever will be most comfortable when sitting in the restrictive seats and/or when lugging luggage/walking a long ways in the airport. If this is yoga pants and a sweatshirt or the like, so be it. Tight spandex pants -- no. But yoga pants -- ok.

It is a comfort thing. I wear yoga pants and flip flops (gasp) on planes all the time. No way I would begrudge someone comfort when flying is already so miserable.

Hmmmm. No problem here really. Workout clothes are comfy.

It is a comfort thing for me (at the airport). If I am flying I am probably balancing a toddler who demands to be held - and perhaps MUST be held while running down the terminal. And a DH who is terrified of flying and must metaphorically have his hand held at the same time.
Also, running shoes are often the bulkiest shoes I am taking, and I prefer to wear them and leave more room in my bag
The only issue I have with it, is I don't have that convenient back pocket to stash stuff in (ID, boarding pass, tissue). I generally wear a tank top and hoodie with pockets to solve that.

My go-to airport outfit consists of yoga pants & uggs. Whatever's comfortable. I could never understand the women that torture themselves by wearing stilettos on a 9+ hour flight.

Why do you care? Get over yourself.

long live camel toe

Super tight spandex? No. But black yoga pants are fine by me. Flying is a miserable experience these days, and for a long flight, nothing else will be pleasant, so may as well be comfortable.

Well I don't think anyone should wear super tight spandex...ever. Tight spandex..sure. But if you have camel toe going on or I can make out your butt crack, they are TOO tight. But I agree with 11:50. While I personally wear jeans, tank, and flats/sandals while flying or a tunic and leggings, I will never understand people who are wearing the stilettos while walking through the airport! At least the people in workout clothes are comfortable.

Flying is miserable. Whatever makes someone the most comfortable is fine in my book.

Yep, I always wear leggings, tank, hoodie, and toms when I fly. I would wear runners too, but I generally don't bring them when flying. OP, this is super judgmental and weird. I really don't understand this immense hatred of wearing gym clothes outside the gym.

Who gives a shit? Who exactly are you trying to impress sitting in a flying bus after the hassle of security, bad airport food, and delays? As long as your body is covered in clothing, where whatever you want.

That's actually more attractive than overweight people in tight clothes or low rise jeans. But I'm not complaining, who am I to judge

Honestly, it took me a long time to give in on the issue of wearing black at weddings, but I have no problem at all with workout clothes for air travel. Honey, flying hasn't been pleasant, not to mention glamorous, in a long, long time.
