| Old friends are coming to town and we're having dinner next week. Haven't gone out in Dupont in years. They are staying at 19th and Conn and so might not want to walk all the way to 14th Street (otherwise we'd go there, to Estadio). What's good around Dupont? Great food and atmosphere is important. Thanks. |
| Mourayo is great |
| Little Serow. Komi (if you can get in, which is doubtful). |
| Nora |
| Vidalia -- still every bit as good. |
| Obelisk is a quiet but nice experience. But if you're interested in 14th St., why not just have your friends jump in a cab? |
| Nora. Sushi Taro. Komi. |
| Sette Osteria at Connecticut and R is good, but noisy. The Tabard Inn at 18th and N is also good. |
| Teddy and the Bully Bar is new and exciting. |
| I like Firefly. You are also pretty close to Rasika West End (although prob. not any closer to there than to 14th. They can't walk 5 blocks?) |

DGS Deli is right there and just got rave reviews in the Post's new fall dining guide.
|
| Second Mourayo. Nora felt a bit past its prime. |
DGS Deli is the best recommendation so far. Not much in dupont these days, sadly. If you're looking for something more casual, pizzeria paradiso is good too. Or Mari Vanna has a nice atmosphere. |

What about Hank's Oyster Bar?
I've wanted to try Bar Charley. It's new, but has been getting great reviews. |
You're recommending DGS Deli over Little Serow? Alrighty then. |
