| Hello all. Do you know if there are any good online registries that allow you to add things from multiple websites? We'd like to register for some non-traditional things like a couple of months of diaper service, maybe a cleaning service, etc as well as the usual Big Box Store type things but don't want to bother our guests with a ton of different websites. I remember there were some sites like this for Wedding Registries but I can't remember any of them. Thanks in advance! |

| I second Amazon...very pleased with their registry. Lots of options, mostly free shipping, lower prices. Babies R Us is a ripoff by comparison. The only other registry I wish I had used was babycenter.com, but their registry was down for several months recently. |

| Thanks for the Amazon suggestion but I don't think Amazon will allow me to list items that are not sold by Amazon (like a local DC diaper service, cleaning service, etc, etc). Any other suggestions out there? |

Amazon actually now allows you to list items from outside of Amazon.com.

I like The Alternative Gift Registry because it's sponsored by a nonprofit in Takoma Park and encourages listing items that aren't just "stuff". But it's best if both you and the givers are very familiar with the Web -- not necessarily the most intuitive interface for beginners. They're at http://www.alternativegiftregistry.org
Another "anywhere on the Web" option is Wishpot, though I haven't checked out their registry features: http://www.wishpot.com And, as someone mentioned above, Amazon now pulls from any website. Don't know how it would work with something like a cleaning or diaper service, but I've used it for easy items like crib sheets from other sites, and they showed up easily in my Amazon list. |
