tip cleaning woman?

If it is a woman not a company, do I tip? She will come one afternoon a month. thanks!

OP, people on here will most likely advise you not to since it is not the "norm," but I think you should tip her if she does a really efficient job cleaning your house plus shows up on time and goes that little "extra mile."

Cleaning homes is tough work, and often very unappreciated and under valued work. If you find an exceptional house cleaner, then by all means, show her how much you appreciate all she has done for you and what better way than to give her a little extra cash?

We tip at Christmas. One cleaning's worth.

What if it is a company? I have a company coming in to do a deep cleaning. I'll be at work so I'm leaving a check. There will be 4 women coming. Should I also leave 4 $5 or $10 bills?

What's wrong with that? we do the same thing. She charges us $90 to clean a 1000 square foot apt every two weeks. She and a helper are done in 90 minutes. At the holidays, we give a $90 bonus.

My lady comes weekly. Around holidays, I give her week off but pay her.

My woman charges 90, which I feel lends itself to a 10 dollar tip so thats what I do. She is good, not always great, but if I mention to her "can you please pay attention to XYZ", she will step it up. She has never canceled and I trust her in the house and I feel those are the most important things.

I have a service ($100 for 2 ladies once a month) and I tip them. I can ask them to pay attention to something, leave a mess in the kitchen and they're flexible about rescheduling.

She's doing her job for a set rate for God's sake. I don't expect a tip after every day of work.

But I guess the way we seem to be heading with all the excessive tipping these days, maybe someday I'll get that!
